San Pedro de Atacama. Very touristic. And above all the Main street Caracoles. I did not like the main street.

Yes, there are differences in temperatures. I personally like more to be in the cold than in the heat. Yes I know, many of you like it more to be in the heat. I suppose.

So this was the second time I was in the Chilean Patagonia. So during local summer time.

Last time I visited Punta Arenas.

This time Puerto Natales.

And from there visiting Torres del Paine too, of course.

So to Southern Chile was first and then to...Well, anyway different kind of temperatures.

What sceneries!

What a wind!

And what a cold! Sometimes also raining...So be prepared with different types of weather.

But for cold until -40C or so helps that you have enough and right type of clothes on. Cold shapes your caracter. Mine at least it has. Heat may too, but you fond of heat know it better. But for me, too many heat makes me wanting the cold come back.

Yes, the wind. Believe or not, I have never experenced the wind like in Torres del Paine! Somebody said it can be 80 km/hour.

Almost scaring. And the locals during our tour said, the wind was not as strong as they thought it would be...Well, everything depends on what you are used to. But you can learn many things too, if you only have a wish for that! Change your colour sometimes. It feels good.

Sorochi Pills...Dizziness Pills...

The Pills, I did not had...but I had my songs, like always - like below.

Peru Cuzco...First time I had dizzniness and I was not feeling well at all...

Second time Border Chile-Bolivia...Dizziness I had and I did not had...

Third time Bolivia La Paz...I had dizzniness and I was not feeling well.

I did not make the trip by the night bus from Antofagasta Chile to Salta Argentina, but I visited Salta from the Argentinian side.

Well, that's it. Wonderful views and Interesting experiences indeed.

Music makes the world go round and me going the world around: Argentina

Working as a freelancer is a...well that way you can experience more things than you for the fist place thought would ever be possible. I have been doing freelancing already for 20 years. Folk, World and Rock to mention some.

Below something from Argentina to listen for you, of course...Tasty music...Can one ask more?

Well, Argentina...

 

One of the most colorful festivals ever, which I have been participating you can find in Argentina. That is the Festival Nacional de Folklore de Cosquín near Córdoba. The Festival was founded in the Happy 60's.

It is organized every year at the end of January. I visited the festival couple of years ago and as far as I know I was the only journalist from Europe there.You can read my article from Cosquín here

The Festival lasted one week and couple of days more, and every night the concerts began in the evening at 10 O'Clock and the last performances were early in the morning. So it is wise to sleep during the day a little bit to be able to listen to music under the full moon.

The festival venue, where the concerts are organized, is the Atahualpa Yupanqui Stage. It is located on Prospero Molina Square.

By the way...did you know that Atahualpa Yupanqui is being considered as the most important Argentinian folk musician of the 20th century?

I thought, it could now be nice for you to listen to some of my favorite Argentinian Folk Musicians. So here for you the Masters of the Voice, really so...Mercedes Sosa and Soledad Pastorutti.

And here some Tango "performed" by Leon Gieco.  He is a rock star too. Superb video, you can taste the tango in every way... Leon Gieco had a gig of more than 2 hours in the festival and what a gig it was! When I walked at 7 O'clock in the morning towards the hotel, at the time when the sun was rising, it was really nice to hear from the distance the last tunes of his concert. In that small town of Cosquín. I never forget how I felt.Wonderful.
