Aktiivisille on aina tarjolla kansainvälistä harjoittelua ja näin ikä kaikki - My wish is to train and to be trained internationally

When I began to work a long time ago, I soon noticed and decided that I wish to be trained all-my-life-long. To be trained internationally as well as offer to others possibilities to become international. 

And to use in my work other foreign languages than English too. It was a kind of a deal for me.

So not just to supervise, but also kind of undergo yourself. Sometimes even kind of suffer a little bit. 

Because to be properly international, it is not always an easy thing. Sometimes you have to make lots of efforts and show sustainability to be successful in being truly international. Or to make possible for others to become truly international. Or what do you think?

Niin...Vaikkapa harjoittelussa paikallisissa organisaatioissa ulkomailla Euroopan ulkopuolella on ollut kautta aikojen CIMO- tai EDUFI-harjoittelussa yli 700 opiskelijaa tai vastavalmistunutta!

Ja siihen tulevat sitten päälle kaikki sadat harjoittelijamme suomalaisorganisaatioissa ulkomailla.

Maailmankartta kertoo totuuden missä päin maailmaa.

According to my principles also I have done every now and then and especially during 2006-2011, when possible, proper international training myself too. It happens, when there is a will and a wish. 

True experiences are needed. The paper work is not enough.

A language course in Galicia/Spain and a Traineeship for professionals in Madrid/Spain. Up to that a Traineeship for professionals/professional language training in Argentina/Chile and in Peru. And other projects in Switzerland, Germany and Russia. To meet professionals in person. 

It is also a nice and useful way to update your professional languages skills too. And I point out, other than English too.

I hope more of this kind of experiences will still come...Or I will look for them for sure. May be and have been in my free time too.

Must be a never-ending-story this training-yourself-thing. I mean, if you want to keep yourself "professionally fit". Must be a "to-do-all-the-way-all-kind-of-things". 

You make my day. So I am really thankful to the life and to my colleagues, co-workers, collaboration partners in Finland and abroad, and to still for me unknown people in different countries.  And to my friends in Finland and abroad.

Meillä on tarjolla harjoittelupaikkoja, mitkä tukevat Suomen ja suomalaisten kilpailukykyä maailmalla. Ja myös meillä Suomessa. 

Meillä on tarjolla harjoittelumahdollisuuksia paikoissa ja aloilla joilla tuetaan Suomen näkyvyyttä maailmalla. Meillä on tarjolla harjoittelupaikkoja, joilla osallistutaan yhteisiin globaaleihin talkoisiin vaikkapa koulutuksen, ilmastonmuutoksen ja tasa-arvon saralla.

Arkistoistani kortti ja kannustava viesti menneisyydestä eräältä harjoittelijoistamme:
"Harjoittelujaksonne ansiosta tulevaisuuteni on toivoa täynnä - Kiitos CIMO"

Mutta saammekohan kaikkiin harjoittelupaikkoihimme aina riittävästi hakijoita? Harjoittelupaikkojen kirjohan meillä on valtava. 

Kokemukseni mukaan hakija eivät nimittäin aina osaa arvioida, millainen harjoittelu juuri hänelle olisi se tarkoituksenmukaisin.  

Tämä kaikki mietityttää, sillä laadukkaiden harjoittelupaikkojen hankkiminen ulkomailla vaatii yhteistyökumppaneiltamme ja meiltä paljon pitkäjänteistä työtä. Ja usein myös erittäin hyviä verkostoja. 

Tarvitsisimme siis vuoden 2021 markkinointityöhömme teiltä suomalaisissa korkeakouluissa kansainvälisen henkilövaihdon alalla työskenteleviltä apua ja ylimääräisiä ponnistuksia myös! Hakuaikahan on kohta käsillä.

Suomalaiset harjoittelujaksoilla ulkomailla - Jo 70 vuoden ajan!

CIMO ja suomalaiset korkeakoulut: Ikimuistoisia tapahtumia on kyllä saatu pystyyn

Kuten tuossa aiemmassani jutussani jo mainitsinkin, niin CIMOlla on pitkäaikaiset yhteydet harjoittelun saralla Latinalaisen Amerikan suuntaan. Jo yli 10 hienoa vuotta! Como un sueño.

Näiden reilun kymmenen vuoden aikana on monelaista Latinalaiseen Amerikkaan liittyvää tapahtumaa järjestetty täällä Suomessa (ja vähän ulkomaillakin) yhteistyössä suomalaisten korkeakoulujen kanssa. Kiitos teille siitä! Gracias - Obrigado!

Ehkä päällimmäisenä näistä tapahtumista nostaisin esille kaksi tai oikeastaan kolmekin tapahtumaa.

Ensimmäinen näistä oli Helsingin yliopiston Iberoamerikkalaisen keskuksen kanssa vuonna 2006 järjestetty tapahtuma "Opiskelu ja harjoittelu espanjankielisissä maissa - ¡Tarjolla  50 harjoittelupaikkaa ja tietoa opinnoista espanjankielisissä maissa! Tilaisuutta tukivat Espanjan, Argentiinan, Perun ja Meksikon suurlähetystö ja tilaisuudessa olivat myös mukana edustajat Chilen, Venezuelan ja Kuuban edustustoista. Infotorilla mainostivat palvelujaan mm. Allianssi, CIMO, Kulttuurienvälisen vuorovaikutuksen maisteriohjelma, KVT, Latinalaisen Amerikan tutkimus, Suomi-Seura, Tinku ry.

Toinen näistä tapahtumista oli Seinäjoella vuonna 2011 asiantuntijoille järjestetty TraiNet-tapaaminen teemalla "Globaalilla yhteistyöllä aluevaikuttavuutta. Latinalainen Amerikka ja Suomi korkeakoulutus- ja työelämäyhteistyössä.". Edellä kaksi linkkiä ko.tapahtumiin ja lisää tietoa tapahtumasta vielä alla.

Vuoden 2006 tapahtuman suunnitteluryhmässä olivat Jaana Mutanen/CIMO sekä professori Martti Pärssinen/ HY Latinalaisen Amerikan tutkimus ja Saara Rautanen-Uunila/HY Kulttuurien välisen vuorovaikutuksen maisteriohjelma. Kiitokset Helsingin yliopiston Latinalaisen Amerikan tutkimuksen ja maailman kulttuurien laitoksen suuntaan! Ja tietysti myös Suomen Latinalaisen Amerikan suurlähetystöille sekä suomalaisorganisaatioille. Tapahtumassa oli tarjolla asiaa ja makoisaa maisteltavaa Latinalaisen Amerikan maista ja Espanjasta!  Ja mukana suuri määrä kiinnostuneita kuulijoita.

Vuoden 2011 kaksipäiväisen tapahtuman suunnittelivat Jaana Mutanen/CIMO, Julio Vallejo ja Helli Kitinoja/Seamk sekä Kaisa Kurki/TAY Kv.asiat. Kiitokset Seinäjoelle ja Tampereelle! Kutsuttuina asiantuntijointa tapahtumassa olivat CIMOn pitkäaikainen chileläinen yhteistyökumppani Professori Lillian Gonzales ja Suomen Madridin -Instituutin (Instituto Iberoamericano de Finlandia) silloinen johtaja Professori Martti Pärssinen. Vuoden 2011 tapahtuman iltajuhlassa tanssittiin muuten myös tangoa!

Hienoa tunnelmaa argentiinalaisen musiikin siivin, herkullista maisteltavaa ja verkostoitumismahdollisuuksia. Kaikki tämä argentiinalais-henkisissä kulisseissa.

Niin ja kolmantena tapahtumana, mutta nyt ulkomailla eli Chilessä, täytyy tietysti mainita vielä myös CIMOn ja muutamien suomalaisten korkeakoulujen osallistuminen Expo Estudiante -messuihin Santiago de Chilessä vuonna 2012.

Santiagon messut järjestettiin muuten hienossa paikassa eli entisen Mapocho-rautatieaseman tiloissa!

Thirsting for Experiences - Deserts, Lakes and Waterfalls...

...A Taste of Dust...

In Chile I decided "to feel the desert" in travelling from Santiago to Antofagasta by bus through the Atacama desert.

I think it took 15 hours or more and most part of this trip I was travelling along Atacama desert. I had a feeling like in this video of Los Jaivas, the well-known Chilean band. Once again the kind of nice sweet-loniless-feeling. Like muisc in my ears. A kind of feeling the Finn can have when walking in the waste Finnish forests... You are welcome to "feel" the Finnish forests too.

In Argentina "I decided kind of ex-tempore to freshen up" underneath the Iguazu Falls, the Cataratas as they are called in Spanish. And I got wet during the boat trip. Visiting shortly the water world of the Falls...

Well, good that I had some dry clothes in my rucksack to change later. But to tell the truth, for me the best part of the Iquazu Falls was to look them from up to the bottom, and even from the aeroplane. This time time I visited only the Argentinian side of the Falls, next time I will visit the Brazilian side. By the way. Have you listened to "Árbol", the Argentinian rock band? Here for you. Their record "Hormigas " is a very good record indeed.


In Peru we "almost sailed to Bolivia" with one traditional floating island of the Urus of the Lake Titicaca. 

You for sure know that the Lake Titicaca is the highest navigable lake in the world, with a surface elevation of 3,812 metre. But did you know? In my home country Finland there are lakes too. Finland is a land of thousand lakes. Come and see by yourself...Luckily (or because of good planning) our hotel in Puno was situated alongside the Lake Titicaca. Wonderful views, I must say! For those hotel guests (not for me) suffering lack of oxygen there were also oxygen equipments available...

Interesting Bordercrossings, hundreds of Pinguines and tens of Llamas too

Will this be a Fairytail? Maybe not even if it sounds almost like a fairytail to me. Touching pinquines and llamas with their own will, super...and all the marvelous landscapes on top of that. What more could you expet from the trips of you life?

It was some six or seven years ago I finally put into practise one of my dreams that is travelled fairly extensively in Chile and Argentina. In the south-north-east-west. also crossing the Chilean-Argentinian border couple of times or so.

To reach from Ushuaia, Tierra del Fuego Argentina in Chilean Patagonia Punta Arenas we took early morning a bus from Ushuaia. By the way, have you listened to the record of the Argentinian singer and songwriter Leon Gieco "De Ushuaia a la Quiaca"? Aqui puedes "bailar" con Leon Ciego. So the video is calling you to join in dancing ...As I heard Leon Ciego singing in live some years ago in Argentina it was absolutely one of the inolvidable moments of my life...Well, the trip and the scenery from Ushuaia to Punta Arenas was as interesting as I thought, but maybe some of you do not like the "loneliness feeling" and the ever-green scenery of the route...But I myself as a Finn, I liked it very-very much. We crossed the Strait of Magellan by ferry...

...and soon our bus drove through the 2 San Sebastians. 


 
Yes, there is a place called San Sebastian in Argentina and also in Chile, so on both sides of the border in Patagonia! Up to that, from Punta arenas you can take a flight to Antarctis, if you wish so and have enough financing for that...

In Chile I was faced with the wonderful world of the local Fauna! If you see such many pinquines and llmas at a time, I bet you do not forget ever.

Having stepped once again from Chile to Argentina and having travelled  in Argentina some hundred kilometers there was a marvellous bordercrossing ahead, in the route from Mendoza to  Santiago. Try it once in your life.

The bordercrossing is unique by bus as well as by plain. By plain I have done it already if not ten then anywat more than 5 times. Every time such wonderful views.
